Everyone has a story

Everyone has a story & here is mine: I grew up one of 12 children & I don't remember many happy times mostly the terror that we all had to endure from our alcoholic father. The name calling and beatings that he gave me did not bother me as much as when he would beat my Mom & siblings.
He gambled all of his earnings and we were hungry all of the time & freezing in the winter as we had no heat. It is a wonder we survived! I could never figure out what went so wrong in his life that made him be so hateful. I got pregnant at a young age just to escape the nightmare. I went on to marry you guessed it a alcoholic! I left him when my daughter was 6 months old & never looked back. I struggled as a single mother but I had peace in my life.
4 years later I had my son & I never married his father because I knew that it would not last. When my son was 18months old he was diagnosed with cancer. The doctors said that he would never make it but I knew they were wrong.
That was 20 years ago and my son is a 22 year old film student! Of course he still has medical problems from the radiation he received but he does not let that stop him from anything.
I have through the years prayed & meditated to keep the positive flowing in my life & it has made all of the difference in the world! 5 months ago I married my best friend & life is great!
So what I want to accomplish through this blog is to help people who feel lost & stuck to change the way that they think & watch how much changes in their life. I will post affirmations daily & give tips on how to change your life!
